Amy Walsh

Amy was introduced to yoga while working full time in theater in Canada as an actor, singer, and dancer. Yoga brought a sense of balance both physically and mentally that became essential to navigating the uncertain life of an actor. After moving to NYC over 15 years ago, she discovered Om Yoga and went on to acquire her 200-hour teacher training there under the guidance of Frank Mauro, Edward Jones, and Joe Miller. She has also completed teacher trainings with Judith Hanson Lasater in Restorative Yoga, and Cyndi Lee in meditation and pranayama. In addition to teaching yoga for several years in Manhattan, Amy has worked with drama students at NYU creating choreography for Shakespeare plays in the Classical Studio. She teaches a steady, flowing yoga class with attention to alignment and breath. She strives to create a space for students that fosters curiosity, connection, and compassion.
