Renata Di Biase

Renata was first introduced to yoga as a teenager, but it was later as an undergraduate student at NYU, within the yoga mecca of downtown Manhattan, that her interest was piqued. After years of being at odds with her body, she began to take refuge in a practice that offered her a way of feeling more at home in her own skin. She found her way to Om Yoga Center in 2002, drawn to a method of intelligent movement that placed value on breath, alignment, and transition. In 2011, Renata completed her 200-hour certification under the guidance of Om Yoga founder Cyndi Lee and current Now Yoga director Edward Jones, along with Frank Mauro, Joe Miller, and Margi Young. Her continuing education has most recently included the study of restorative yoga under Judith Hanson Lasater. Renata has been teaching with Now Yoga since its founding in 2012 and in 2018 embraced the opportunity to take over as owner and director, moving the school to its current home at Astor Place.
