2012
Now Yoga’s community first develops within Om Yoga Center (NYC) in the late 90s–early 2000s. When Cyndi Lee’s beloved Om Yoga closes, its senior teachers team up to begin a new school, appropriately named Now Yoga, in order to carry on the tradition and community that had been forged over the previous decade.

2018
Now Yoga takes a leap and opens its very own studio at Astor Place, where it offers a full schedule of in-person classes, workshops, and teacher trainings to a growing community of yoga practitioners.

2020–2022
At the onset of the pandemic, Now Yoga adapts to an online format by offering a daily schedule of live sessions over Zoom. Two years later, with the success of its virtual studio, embraced for its convenience and intimacy, and facing increasing challenges to running a brick-and-mortar business post-Covid, Now Yoga decides to move fully online.

2024
After four fulfilling years of offering online programming, Now Yoga retires its virtual platform. While this ends an era for the studio, its teachers will carry forward Now Yoga’s singular ethos wherever their paths take them, providing a kind of practice that is honest, grounded, and nourishing.
